constitutional to build and maintain a democratic state
Russian – Armenian University in cooperation with Humboldt University of Berlin
organizes a summer exchange program in the scope of “Network East – West” project.
Summer exchange program is designed particularly for students studying Law and has
a focus on Democracy - which elements are constitutional to build and maintain a
RAU students currently studying Law (1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd year of BA, 1 st year of MA)
are eligible to apply to the project. Please take into consideration that 1 st year BA
students are suited to apply in case they have an exceptional command of English and
basic knowledge of the topic of the Program.
There are 10 places available for applying as participants.
Tutors of RAU delegation are lecturers of Russian-Armenian University Veronika
Petrosyan and Varazdat Sukiasyan
Organizers of RAU delegation and organizers are responsible for the technical and
organizational issues of the summer exchange program i.e. all questions concerning
logistics, accommodation of foreign colleagues, extracurricular activities such as
sightseeing, visiting museums, organizing welcoming and farewell parties etc.
WHEN & WHERE?
Summer exchange program will be held on August, 2019.
During the first week RAU will host the German students in Yerevan.
During the second week RAU delegation of 10 participants, 2 organizers and 2 tutors
along with the German delegation will travel to Berlin. Participants from Georgian,
Latvian, Ukrainian partner universities will also gather in Berlin, which will intensify
the comparative analysis to be done.
During the program each of the 10 participants is given a topic in the framework of the
general theme of the project and is supposed to write a research/analytical paper. The
topics for the papers are chosen beforehand by Armenian and German tutors in a way
that during the seminar it is possible to write a comparative analysis with German
colleagues. The tutors will supervise the writing of the papers, will give personal and
group consultations to participants, will lead discussions during meetings.
The programme language is English.
RAU will cover accommodation costs and meals of German colleagues.
Accommodation and meals of RAU delegation in Berlin will be covered by Humboldt
Travel costs are covered by students, however there might be some

Short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview on the 26th of February
